Inside and Out

The top quality and design of the cabin in a five-passenger 2013 Rogue are surprising in this segment. The intuitive controls, ultra-comfortable seating and top-notch materials (in either Black or Gray) used throughout the cabin make it a special place to spend a long road trip. The storage space in not lacking, either. There is a large bin in the center console, smart under-floor storage and a giant glove-box to hold all of your over-the-road accoutrements. The cargo area of this model is respectable, with 59.7 cubic-feet with the rear seats folded and stowed, and 28.9 cubic with them in use. If you want to carry over-length materials (surfboards, ladders, etc.), the front passenger seat folds down to give you eight-and-a-half feet of space from front to back. The colors available for the exterior of the 2013 Nissan Rogue include Platinum Graphite, Graphite Blue, Cayenne Red, Black Amethyst, Super Black, Pearl White, Frosted Steel and Brilliant Silver.

Nissan Rogue Blind Spot Warning System

A rearview camera is great when you're maneuvering into a tight space. But what if you could see all around you? Rogue offers the world's first Around View Monitor, giving you not one but four wide-angle cameras as your helpful spotters. Which helps make you a parallel parking ace. So quit circling the block ? that space is yours!

Nissan Rogue Composite Overhead View

The system works by converting the view from each of four wide-angle cameras (in the front and rear and in the side mirrors) into a composite overhead view of your Rogue. Now you can see your vehicle's position in relation to its surroundings on all sides, avoiding not only the car behind or in front, but saving your wheels from nasty curb scuffs.

2013 Nissan Rogue Cargo Space

Bring what you want, Rogue has the versatility you need. With convenient 60/40 split rear seats, you can fold either of the seatbacks down to accommodate your long and slender items. Need more room? Fold both rear seatbacks for-ward, and enjoy a cavernous 57.9 cubic feet of cargo space.

Fold-down Passenger Seat. The long and short of it is cargo comes in all shapes and sizes. With Rogue, you can fold the front passenger seatback forward to carry items up to eight feet long.

Deep Center Console. Stack 'em high with Rogue's spacious center console. Built-in pen and card holders in the lid put things within easy reach when you need to jot something down.

Levels of Trim and Available Options

The 2013 Rogue has two trims. The base S trim has 16" steel wheels, side mirrors that fold away, a tilting steering wheel, full power accessories, trip computer, keyless entry, cruise control, A/C, a rear seat that splits 40/60 and also folds out-of-the-way, and 4-speaker CD sound with iPod interface and an audio jack. The option package for this model is the Special Edition package. It makes the 16" wheel alloy and adds rear privacy glass, a rearview camera, audio controls on the steering wheel, foglights, a 4.3" display screen for the audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, two more speakers and satellite radio.

The SV version of the 2013 Rogue includes most of the features on the S version, and adds 17" alloys, keyless entry/start, 6-way powered seat for the driver, roof rails, a fold-down passenger seat in the front and upgraded upholstery. There are two options packages for this model. The Premium Edition package adds a sunroof, navigation w/real-time traffic, automatic headlights, automatic climate control and a Bose audio system. With the SL package, you get larger 18" alloys, foglights, leather upholstery, heated seats in the front, leather on the steering wheel, automatic xenon headlights, heated side mirrors, an auto-dim rearview mirror, navigation w/5" touchscreen display and a subwoofer added to the premium 8-speaker Bose sound system.

Performance and Power

Transferring power to either the front wheels (FWD) or all four (AWD) from the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine (170 hp/175 lb-ft Tq) is a CVT (continuously variable transmission) in all models. (There is no automatic or manual transmission available for the 2013 Rogue.) This model can hit sixty miles per hours in just 8.6 seconds. That's pretty quick, if that is something you are looking for in an SUV! As for fuel economy, the numbers for the Rogue are comparable with others in its class, at 23 city/28 hwy/25 combined for the FWD and 22 city/27 hwy/24 combined for the AWD model.

It not only drives well over smooth highways, but also handles rougher roadways with aplomb. The steering is responsive and there is little body roll - a good thing in an SUV of any size!
